When You use the Platform, We collect and handle Your Personal Data in accordance with Our Privacy Policy.
What Personal Data We collect
When You use the Platform, We may collect Your Personal Data, including:
- Your name, contact email address and phone number, country in which You are located (including time zone), and language spoken;
- Your health data, including Your date of birth, sex, height and weight, medical history, and symptoms;
- any documents that You upload to Our Platform, including any medical records, reports, referrals, pathology results, imaging, scans, test results, specialist letters, treatment plans, prescriptions, identity documents, questionnaires, forms, or other information or documentation (Patient Uploaded Records);
- Your payment information for the purpose of processing the consultation fees;
- details of Your interactions with Us and the independent medical practitioner providing the consultation (Medical Practitioner); and/or
- information about Your use of the Platform (including through cookies and analytics tools).
Why We collect Your Personal Data
We collect Your Personal Data to:
- facilitate booking and delivery of Your online medical consultations with the Medical Practitioner (Consultation);
- operate, maintain, secure and improve the Platform;
- process payments for Consultations;
- communicate with You about Your use of the Platform;
- comply with Our legal and regulatory obligations; and
- where You have provided consent in relation to Your Personal Data (and excluding health data), send direct marketing communications.
How We collect and use Your Personal Data
We collect Personal Data directly from You when You:
- register for and use the Platform;
- book or attend a Consultation;
- provide Us with Your Patient Uploaded Data;
- communicate with Us or the Medical Practitioner.
We may also collect Personal Data automatically through Your use of the Platform (for example, via cookies and analytics tools).
Who We disclose Your information to
We may disclose Your Personal Data to:
- the Medical Practitioner, to enable them to provide the Consultation;
- payment service providers who process Your payment for the Consultations;
- cloud hosting, IT infrastructure, security and technology service providers;
- communications and Consultation service providers;
- analytics providers;
- professional advisers and regulatory authorities where required by law.
Some of these recipients may be located outside Australia, including in the European Union.
Overseas disclosure
Where We disclose Your Personal Data overseas, We take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including the GDPR and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Consequences if You do not provide Your Personal Data
If You do not provide the Personal Data requested, We may not be able to register You on the Platform or facilitate a Consultation with a Medical Practitioner.
Your privacy rights
You may access and request correction of Your Personal Data. Where the GDPR applies, You may also have additional rights, including rights to erasure, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent.
